I am blown away by Marian Bantjes’ artwork…wow! The more I look at it, the more I love it. Totally non-traditional valentines!

This is a really creative, well done, and cute short film. :)
The Invention of Love
Very nice! -Waveybrain
this took my breath away. I cant remember a time where i’ve seen a more inventive narrative short. Amazing story, style , concept just , GREAT BIG BUCKET OF WIN.
The animation in this is pretty incredible, fantastic posing and action. Very nice! The metaphor for war and how it affects veterans is pretty profound too, though I feel that the story ends a bit too abruptly.

A five-minute reminder to not let love pass you by. Developed as original content for Walt Disney Pictures Short Films division.
Staring Will Bowles, Sara Rehnmark, and Lincoln Hoppe
Directed by Mike Goode
This is a pretty fantastic little film…the animation is just so believable, and it’s really saying something that they can express so much emotion without the characters having faces!
I also love the shading and lighting in this…simple, but effective. I’d like to know how they did it.
Short animation which follows a lonely girl living atop a flying whale, whose luck changes when a stranger drops out of the sky.
This is really beautiful, very Final Fantasy-esque. But…
Maybe it’s because I’m studying character animation so intensely now, but the thing I’m noticing about all of these general skills schools, the ones that teach you everything from modeling to rigging, animation, shading, lighting, rendering and dynamics…is that the character animation is never that great. There are always issues with timing, weight, and posing…things that I can recognize even though I’m only through 1/12 of my schooling so far.
That’s certainly not to say that I can do better, or to diminish the incredible efforts of these students who still manage to create something beautiful. After all, they’re doing exactly what I want to do - creating their own films from scratch. But when it comes right down to it, I’d rather be a master animator than a jack of all 3D trades.

Sounds good to me!
Agreed…
I agree…partially. Love is a roller-coaster, if you’re lucky it’s mad and passionate much of the time, but no one can sustain that momentum forever. Even love needs to chill out once in awhile and become sweet and subtle, or ginger, or even comfortable and cozy. As long as it never stays in one state for too long, and you and your partner can be pretty much on the same page most of the time, love will last.
If you ask me, people who need unsustainable passion give up too quickly once love changes states, hence why we have such a high divorce rate in the US.
